Sleep...

            Sleep is very importance activity in our daily life. A sound sleep make a whole world of difference as it help the body to recover from the stress and strain of the whole day. Thus, it can safely be said that it is not just a pit-stop for a body from top-to-toe to rest and repair itself. It help to revitalize and sharpen the mind.

            After an adequate rest of between seven to eight hours you spring out from your bed and ready to take the world. On the other hand, getting up groggy and lethargic means you possibility overslept or having a bad night. Therefore, you should try to sleep before midnight, preferably from 10 pm to 6 am. This is a time most of us feel drowsy the body mechanism start to slow down. Follow a regular sleep pattern, go to bed and wake up at same time every day as possible.

           The minds sends sleep signal when you are ready for bed. Hence, ignoring such signal and trying to beat sleep will only leave struggling to fall sleep. Dim or switch off all  light in the room supposedly melatonin, which aids the sleeps process. You should not try to stay up to do computers work past midnight. The body will not have sufficient time to renew and heal itself and you might wake up feeling tired.

           The number of sleep hour varies from person to person. Some people can do with four hours while other need eight hours to sleep. Babies need more hour to sleep while teenager and working people need less hour to sleep. As one ages like older people , one will have tendency to sleep less. In general, the maximum number of sleep is eight hours.

           There are certain food that help you to relax the brain and nerves and make sleep easy. They include food like rice, wholegrain pasta , vegetable, oat and chocolate, all of food which contain tryptophan, the amino acid that produce serotonin to help you to nod off. A glass of milk or chamomile tea to relax the body and mind.

           To wind down to a good to a good night's rest, have a light dinner, relax with a book, indulge in warm bath and then ready for a good sleep by a ten.
